Immigrant & Refugee Center, Inc. (IRC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to advancing the well-being, integration, and empowerment of immigrants, refugees, and diverse youth and families across Hampden County. We provide comprehensive services, including education, workforce development, youth and diversity programming, and wraparound support, designed to foster stable, thriving lives. By addressing immediate needs while creating pathways for long-term success, IRC equips individuals and families with the skills, resources, and opportunities they need to achieve self-sufficiency and fully participate in their communities.

Immigrant & Refugee Center, Inc. (IRC), we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to build a stable, fulfilling, and successful life. Our programs address the diverse needs of immigrants, refugees, and their families offering both immediate support and long-term pathways to empowerment.
Through personalized case management, IRC connects newcomers to housing, healthcare, and community resources, while our education and workforce initiatives provide ESL classes, citizenship preparation, financial literacy workshops, and job readiness training. We also offer affordable, Department of Justice accredited immigration legal services, assisting with work authorization, green cards, and naturalization. Beyond essential services, IRC fosters belonging, leadership, and inclusion through youth engagement, cultural integration, and advocacy initiatives. Our youth programs build confidence and civic participation, while community partnerships promote equity and cross-cultural understanding. Together, these efforts reflect IRC’s unwavering commitment to helping newcomers not only meet their basic needs but also thrive as active, empowered members of their communities.
